Carrier-Connect

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 1, 2026 · Version v2-2026-09-01

This document is a general template written to put in writing how Carrier-Connect works. It does not replace the advice of a lawyer — before operating under these terms in production, review them with one to make sure they correctly reflect your legal situation, the state/jurisdiction you operate under, and any specific requirements of the transportation industry.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account on Carrier-Connect ("the Platform"), you accept these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, you must not create an account or use the Platform.

2. What Carrier-Connect is

Carrier-Connect is a technology platform that connects people or companies who need to transport vehicles ("Shippers"), registered and verified transportation intermediaries ("Brokers"), and transportation companies ("Carriers"). Carrier-Connect itself is not a transportation broker, is not a carrier, and is not a party to the transport contract formed between whoever posts a load (Shipper or Broker) and the Carrier when a load is accepted. Our role is limited to operating the site, processing payment of Platform fees, and performing the verifications described in section 4.

3. User accounts

You must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. The information you provide (name, company, USDOT/MC, documents, etc.) must be truthful, complete, and kept up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs on your account.

4. Carrier verification

Before being able to view or take loads, a Carrier must: (a) have an active monthly subscription, and (b) go through a verification process that includes an automatic lookup against the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) public database for their USDOT/MC number, and manual review of documents (USDOT/MC certificate, insurance certificate, driver's license, and W9 form).

This verification is a reasonable filter, but is not a guarantee that a Carrier will maintain their authority, insurance, or documentation current at all times after being verified, or that they will fulfill their obligations on every load. Shippers are responsible for taking their own reasonable precautions before entrusting a vehicle to a Carrier.

5. Posting loads

The Shipper is responsible for ensuring that the information posted about the load (origin, destination, vehicle details, price, etc.) is accurate. Carrier-Connect does not verify the accuracy of posted loads or ownership of the vehicle to be transported.

6. Fees and payments

The Shipper pays a flat fee to post each load. The Carrier pays a monthly subscription to access the load board. Both amounts are shown before confirming payment and are processed through Stripe; Carrier-Connect does not store card numbers.

Unless stated otherwise at the time of payment, posting fees are non-refundable once a load is posted, and the monthly subscription renews automatically until the Carrier cancels it. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the period already paid for.

The price agreed for transporting a specific load (what the Shipper pays the Carrier) is negotiated and paid directly between Shipper and Carrier, outside the Platform. Carrier-Connect does not process or guarantee that payment.

7. Relationship between Shipper and Carrier

The transport contract (including price, pickup and delivery conditions, and liability for damage, loss, or delay) is formed directly between the Shipper and the Carrier when a load is accepted. Carrier-Connect is not a party to that contract and is not responsible for its performance, the quality of the transport service, or payment disputes between the parties. We recommend both parties document things in writing (vehicle photos, agreed conditions, etc.) before and after the transport.

8. Prohibited conduct

Not permitted: providing false information (including falsified verification documents), using the Platform for fraudulent activity, harassing other users, or attempting to avoid Platform fees by arranging outside the Platform what should go through it.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, with or without prior notice, if we detect a violation of these terms, false information, or activity that puts other users or the Platform at risk. Amounts already paid for services already rendered (for example, a load already posted) are not refunded for this reason.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform is offered "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carrier-Connect will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, including but not limited to damage to or loss of the transported vehicle, delays, or payment disputes between Shipper and Carrier. Carrier-Connect's total liability to a user, for any reason, will not exceed the amount that user has paid to the Platform in the past 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Carrier-Connect harmless from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, from false information you provided, or from transport carried out between Shipper and Carrier.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or use of the Platform will be resolved in the competent courts of the State of Florida.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Significant changes will be reflected with a new "last updated" date and, where applicable, we will ask you to accept them again to keep using the Platform.
